Melbourne's KIIS 101.1 has announced their latest promotion called 'The KIIS $50,000 Note' which involves a cash prize of $50,000.

The contest involves giving listeners the opportunity to turn one note into a life-changing cash prize with the name of the game being to identify what song and artist a particular note belongs to.

It may sound easier than it is, with a number of incorrect guesses coming through already. Listeners can only hear the note on air, with it being played every morning at 7:30 am and 8:30 am on Jase & Lauren

For the chance to win, listeners can tune into Jase & Lauren every morning on KIIS 101.1 or via the IHeart app.

In the second radio ratings survey of 2023, KIIS 101.1 has stayed largely steady since survey one with a dip of 0.1, tying with Nova on 6.5%. Breakfast with Jase and Lauren managed to stay flat at 7.2%. On drive, Will and Woody were up 0.6 points for a total share of 8.2%.

Mediaweek spoke to ARN's chief content officer Duncan Campbell in regards of the second survey of 2023 where Campbell said that things are looking up after a bumpy start to 2023 for KIIS 101.1.

"The results are actually pretty good for us - the Breakfast show is flat, which is great. The key to success at that station is going to be through Breakfast. We have good cumes moving through that station, they're just not sticky enough. That's the goal for the Breakfast team, is to make that cume stick and keep them listening longer.

"A flat result this time round will actually I think position us pretty well for an increase next book, if we're lucky. There's a lot of work being put in down there at the moment. It's down slightly 10+, but it's actually one of the better books we've had for KIIS for a long time."
