Mi3’s Executive Editor Paul McIntyre has announced he is stepping back after seven years leading the trade publication he co-founded, during which time the title delivered record audience, revenue and profit growth.

In a note to readers, McIntyre said the 2025 financial year marked the right time to transition, describing it as Mi3’s “strongest year to date across profit, revenue and audience.”

He reflected on his 35-year career in journalism and the pace of change transforming the media and marketing sectors, noting that “another wave of change is coming fast to the industries Mi3 covers and to the publishing business model itself.”

McIntyre said Mi3 would now move into a new phase and model under the leadership of Marketing Editor Nadia Cameron, who has been appointed Publisher, and Tech Editor Andrew Birmingham, who will continue to drive Mi3’s digital and technology coverage.

He will remain with the title as Editor-at-Large, contributing stories and podcasts as Mi3 moves into its next stage of development in 2026.
