The competition is heating up as My Kitchen Rules (MKR) enters its semi-finals this Sunday at 7.00pm on Seven and 7plus, with four teams vying for a place in the Grand Final.

The remaining contestants are New South Wales dads Justin and Will, Queensland best friends Lol and Lil, South Australia’s ambitious duo Maria and Bailey, and Western Australia’s couple Danielle and Marko.

Underdogs Lol and Lil, who have been underestimated from the start, are ready to prove their critics wrong. “We didn’t come here to come fourth or third, we came here to be in the Grand Final,” Lil said. Lol added: “This is do or die.”

Meanwhile, Justin and Will have remained consistent frontrunners since topping the leaderboard early in the competition. “The time away from our family has been the hardest thing about MKR, but it's also been the greatest motivation. We want to do them all proud,” Justin said.

Having experienced both highs and lows on the scoreboard, Danielle and Marko remain focused on the finish line. “We’ve come so far already. We want to go all the way,” Danielle said.

Maria and Bailey, who have been fierce competitors from the outset, are equally determined. “This is our last chance, we can’t lose now,” Maria said.
