CBS News app now available to Australia and New Zealand

CBSN, has expanded its free global access on web browsers by making the CBS News app including the 24/7 free live streaming news service CBSN, available in Australian and New Zealand app stores including Amazon Fire TV, Android, Android TV Chromecast and Chromecast built-in devices, LG Smart TVs.

The availability of the app follows CBS News App’s expansion across 89 countries including Argentina, Australia, Brazil, mainland China and Hong Kong SAR (China), France, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, South Korea, the United Kingdom.

“Our research shows that there is global demand for CBS News’ reporting on issues and events that impact everyone,” said Christy Tanner, Executive Vice President & General Manager, CBS News Digital. "With CBSN's expanded availability in international app stores we can now deliver vital, in-depth coverage on urgent and pivotal news events to more viewers in more places."

CBSN will continue to expand availability as the CBS News app launches in additional international app stores in the months to come, as viewers worldwide will be able to tune-in to CBSN’s coverage of crucial  events including the upcoming Republican and Democratic national conventions, and November’s presidential election. CBSN mainstay programming will also be available such as the CBSN Originals documentary series, the daily politics show “Red & Blue,” and the “Climate Watch” franchise.
