Upfront Season is fast approaching, and Nine have set their 2024 presentation date for Wednesday, September 6th 2023.

Whilst no further details have been confirmed, the date was announced on Wednesday, as Nine’s chief sales officer, Michael Stephenson, marked a year to go until the Opening Ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Speaking about the plans that Nine has to cover the games, having secured the rights to the Olympic and Paralympic Games earlier in 2023,  Stephenson said that “On September 6 at our annual Upfront presentation we will share all of the opportunities that exist for brands across our entire suite of assets. I can’t wait!”

Nine has already announced its strategy to cover the Paris 2024 games, including 24-hour-a-day action across Nine’s television Free-to-Air assets, streaming on 9Now and live and on-demand on Stan.

Last year, Nine’s event was held at Sydney’s Luna Park, with announcements spanning the television, audio, and publishing assets of the business.

New shows announced included The Summit, Warnie, Big Miracles, and Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars.

Behind the scenes, announcements included 9Now’s “most significant transformation since its launch,” a user experience (UI) redesign that aims to give to give users complete control of their viewing experience, offering an amalgamated experience of interactive digital and broadcast content.

The Brisbane Times also received a large investment from Nine, with the broadcaster announcing an expansion of the masthead in 2023.

The investment from Nine will ensure the South-East Queensland newspaper can continue to provide breaking local news and analysis to the more than two million people who now reside in the Greater Brisbane area.

In its Audio suite, Nine also announced the launch of an “eye in the sky” inspired premium cross-platform traffic brand, NTN, to deliver up-to-date traffic news to listeners across Nine’s radio stations 2GB (Sydney), 2AW (Melbourne), 4BC (Brisbane) and 6PR (Perth).
