News.com.au and smh.com.au remain leading news websites for May, BBC back in top 10

Nielsen has released the top news websites for the month of May 2015.

News.com.au retained the top spot with a unique audience of 3.79m, followed by smh.com.au, ABC, Daily Mail Australia and then ninemsn filling out the top five.

Overall, the Current Events & Global News sub-category declined slightly in May 2015 compared to April, 2015.

BBC climbed three places and back into the top 10 – from 11th to 8th place.

Daily Mail Australia (4th) and ninemsn news websites (5th) swapped places in May compared to April 2015

Yahoo!7 news websites moved down a rank to 9th.
