Australia's most influential brands revealed

Google the most influential brands in Australia for the third consecutive year, Coles the top Australian-owned most influential brand

Google has been acclaimed as the most influential brand among consumers in Australia for the third consecutive year. Technology and digital, media and retail brands dominated the top rankings of influential brands in the Ipsos Most Influential Brands 2016 study. Microsoft and Facebook filled out the top three spots. Apple was ranked #4.

The top Australian-owned most influential brand is Coles, which ranks #5. Other Australian brands to make the top 10 include Telstra (#6) and Australia Post (#8).

“When it comes to which brand is most trustworthy, or is the most innovative, or is most engaging, the answer can be a very personal one.  We increasingly identify with, relate to and even define ourselves by them, which gives brands something we can measure – influence,” Ipsos marketing managing director Gillian O’Sullivan said.
