Bauer Media’s Gourmet Traveller has teamed up with Edge to launch a new self-branded restaurant card. The Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Card can be used at some the best eateries in Australia including Supernormal and Benelong. The card will be available at most major retailers and participating newsagents this month or can be purchased at gourmettravellergiftcard.com.au.

Bauer Media General Manager for Fashion, Luxury, Food and Homes, Fiorella Di Santo, said: “As Gourmet Traveller is Australia’s premier food, travel and lifestyle brand, audiences look to it for advice on Australia’s newest and best restaurants.

“The Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Gift Card leverages the trust consumers have in this brand to take the guesswork out of choosing a gift for people that are passionate about food and the places it takes them.”

As part of the marketing activity for the new gift card, Gourmet Traveller has launched a social media campaign where chefs from participating restaurants talk about what eating out means to them.

Earlier this year, the title debuted a new-look Gourmet Traveller in print with the September issue and launched a fortnightly 20-minute podcast series called “Set Menu”.

In a Mediaweek podcast from earlier this year, Kruti Joshi was joined by the new Gourmet Traveller editor Sarah Oakes to talk about her vision for the brand. Listen here.
