The Herald Sun has launched its updated digital product with the unveiling of a new, fully responsive website. The site adopts many of the new design elements also recently launched at dailytelegraph.com.au.

The reimagined heraldsun.com.au has been designed to work across all devices.

The publisher is promising it will provide a rich digital user experience by improving content discovery, localisation and personalisation, and, importantly, increasing viewability.

News Corp Australia managing director News DNA Julian Delany said: “The reimagined heraldsun.com.au is part of News DNA’s ongoing commitment to ensuring our customers value and enjoy consuming the news they want, delivered by a trusted and iconic Victorian brand.

"At the heart of this reimagined site are the consumers of heraldsun.com.au – everything that can be seen has been through rigorous consumer testing and design. Our goal was to make the incredible content that originates from the Herald Sun’s editorial team come to life – we believe we’ve delivered on this objective as a result of the change."

Herald Sun editor Damon Johnston said: "The new website features a bold and modern new look but most importantly our commitment to agenda-setting, exclusive and breaking news journalism remains at the heart of what we do.

"The look of the site has changed but our passion and dedication to advocate for our readers and a better Victoria has not."

Delany added the new heraldsun.com.au offered new commercial opportunities and a refined sales experience, with guaranteed viewable inventory significantly increased and some placements delivering up to 90% viewability, he said.

The all-new heraldsun.com.au follows the recent dailytelegraph.com.au transformation, which has delivered increased unique users, returning visits, and dramatically increased viewability. The Courier-Mail, The Advertiser in Adelaide and regional newspapers will be reimagined next.
