With holiday decorations going up around Australia, this means that Christmas is right around the corner. Which is good timing for Instagram to roll out some new changes to its product to make it easier for users to shop on its platform. These include launching tools to discover new products, find favourite brands and track shopping inspirations.

This follows the most recent changes in September where product stickers in Stories where introduced allowing users to easily learn more about a product, as well as a shopping channel in Explore, which serves as a dedicated space for users to shop for popular and undiscovered brands.

The new changes improve the Instagram shopping experience in three ways:

Save new Shopping collection: You can now save items to your shopping collection by tapping a product tag in Stories or Feed, and then tapping the Save icon in the bottom right corner to save it to your Shopping collection.
•  Easily Shop on business profiles: You can now quickly view all the products featured in a business profile’s shopping posts by tapping the Shop button to see the business profile’s products.
• Shopping in Feed videos: You can now shop directly from videos you view in your Feed from a brand that you follow by tapping the shopping icon in the bottom left corner to reveal the featured products.
