Mark Geyer told the Sydney audience of The Grill Team he’ll be sleeping in for the next few years as he joins Triple M’s NRL coverage full time from 2018.

Geyer has been the tallest member of the Triple M Grill Team since it began in 2009. Following its 2000th show celebrations last week, he decided it’s the right time to shift his focus to his two greatest passions in life – Family and Footy.

“My daughter Rafferty was a baby when I started breakfast radio, she’s now 10 and I’ve never been able to drop her at school,” Geyer told The Grill Team.

“I couldn’t have asked for a better way to have spent the past eight years; with our Triple M listeners and The Grill Team family! I’ll certainly miss the daily laughs but I’m really excited for a new adventure with Triple M NRL,” he said.

Geyer will continue to appear regularly on The Grill Team throughout the footy season.

He will call footy each weekend on Triple M’s national NRL coverage and star in a new NRL based weekday show.
