Nine’s Gold Coast News has been celebrating its 20th year milestone throughout 2016, with the celebrations set to culminate with a one hour documentary special that will air on Nine Gold Coast on Saturday 9 July, at 7.00pm.

The program will air in the remaining Queensland markets on Saturday, 23rd July at 4.00pm.

Hosted by Nine Gold Coast News presenters Bruce Paige and Wendy Kingston, “20 Years of Nine Gold Coast News” takes a look back at the news stories that shaped the city. From tourist attractions to major crimes, sporting triumphs to weather tragedies, beaches to iconic high-rises, the top stories in each area are revealed.

Nine Queensland’s Director of News, Mike Dalton said, “This documentary reinforces our strong commitment to the Gold Coast community for the past 20 years. It’s amazing how this program jolts the memory bank and some of the pictures our cameras have captured since our first bulletin in 1996 are gripping.

And you’ll see some of today’s television stars doing their earliest on-air work ! See if you can pick the faces.” #9GCNews20Years
