Nova’s Red Room Vivid Sydney Edition kicks off with Australian DJ Hot Dub Time Machine performing on Thursday 16 June.

Nova and Vivid Sydney are partnering in 2022 for the first time, giving 600 fans the chance to experience one of the most unique Nova’s Red Room experiences yet.

Now in its 12th year, Vivid Sydney will transform the Harbour City into an illuminating fusion of creativity, innovation and technology from Friday 27 May to Saturday 18 June, with more than 200+ events celebrating the essence of Sydney’s soul including its diversity, beauty, resilience, First Nations culture, and vibrant creative community.

Live from Cargo Hall, one of Sydney’s most unique event spaces, guests will be able to immerse themselves in the best of Vivid Sydney, enjoying a stunning backdrop of an illuminated Sydney Opera House as they watch the exclusive DJ performance.

Paul Jackson, NOVA Entertainment’s chief programming and music content officer said: "We're delighted to be partnering with Vivid Sydney to create this unique Red Room experience with Hot Dub Time Machine.

"Vivid Sydney celebrates the essence of Sydney and is giving us the most iconic backdrop you can dream of, making the latest Nova’s Red Room the perfect addition to an exciting line up for 2022. Nova continues to provide a platform for Australian artists and we’re thrilled to be sharing this unmissable experience with our listeners," Jackson added.

Since first launching the time-travelling, ‘dance-through-the-decades’ audio-visual party concept in 2011, Sydney’s Hot Dub Time Machine has become an international hit with global headline tours and festival main stages at ‘Splendour in the Grass’, the UK’s ‘Reading and Leeds’, Europe’s legendary ‘Tomorrowland’ and ‘Coachella’ in the USA.

Vivid Sydney 2022 is set to transform Sydney from 27 May to 18 June, and the exciting partnership will see Nova 96.9 as an official collaborator for 2022. This year, Vivid Sydney features its longest continuous light walk, linking the Sydney Opera House to Central Station.

Minister for Western Sydney Stuart Ayres said Vivid Sydney 2022 transforms the city into a vibrant fusion of creativity, innovation and technology and is a major celebration of our creative industries.

"Vivid Sydney is an open invitation for Sydneysiders and visitors from Australia and the world, to come and experience Sydney at its creative best," he said.

"Vivid Sydney 2022 is not to be missed. It bursts with exciting events, incredible performances and fantastic experiences. I encourage everyone to get out and enjoy the festival," he added.

Listeners can win their way to attend this exclusive Nova’s Red Room by listening to Smallzy’s Surgery across the country and with Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa, or through the Nova Player.

Australia's premier intimate music brand Nova’s Red Room has seen over 300 international and local artists perform live for fans, including Harry Styles, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Lizzo, Miley Cyrus, Tones And I and Billie Eilish.

Nova’s Red Room With Hot Dub Time Machine Vivid Sydney Edition, hosted by Fitzy & Wippa, will be held on Thursday 16 June at Cargo Hall in Sydney.
