Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) has reported its online sports coverage is up by 168% year-on-year, with 134,000 average daily unique browsers (ADUB) across Triple M’s AFL & NRL online coverage, according to Nielsen’s digital ratings for the month of August.

SCA is again the #1 radio publisher online with its unique audience (UA) of 1,463,000 and 389,745 ADUBs.

For 11 consecutive months the Hit Network’s digital platforms have been #1 in the radio business with a UA of 709,000 and stablemate Triple M sits at #2, UA 642,000.

SCA’s head of digital content Chris McWilliams said, “The power of our content creation and scale of Australian digital audiences is the envy of our traditional radio competitors. Our consistent #1 position over a year is testament to that. It’s born out of our excellent entertainment content on both the Hit and Triple M Networks.

“Our sport coverage has been a particular highlight in 2016 with 168% in digital audience growth on Triple M’s digital platforms. Our diverse digital proposition makes us an exciting prospect for advertisers wanting scale.”
