Signature Media has announced the appointment of Nardia Plumridge as digital editor.

Plumridge will work on Signature Media’s digital strategy including content planning, creation and reporting and working with the sales team to create highly engaged client campaigns that deliver results. She will also work on signatureluxurytravel.com.au, holidayswithkids.com.au and vacationstravel.com.

Cathy Wagstaff, Signature Media CEO and group editor, said: "We are delighted to have Nardia join our team and bring her digital experience and travel passion to our titles."

Plumridge has extensive experience in creating and managing website content to generate readership and grow audiences, having launched two successful blogs, Lost in Florence (while living in Italy) and Lost in Fremantle (where she is now based.)

Lost in Florence has been featured in Lonely Planet Guide books, Forbes, and was published as a book by Hardie Grant in 2019, winning 2020 GUIDE OF THE YEAR at the Travel Media Awards in London. Most recently she has been writing for Seesaw Magazine (WA arts magazine), Broadsheet, WA Good Food Guide, Culture Trip and Lonely Planet.

Plumridge said of her appointment: I am thrilled to be part of such a dynamic team joining the Signature family and help further grow its travel titles digitally. As borders reopen in Australia, there is so much inspiration and travel intel to share."

Signature Media also announced the appointment of Kirstie Bedford as assistant editor, earlier this month.

Bedford will work closely with Signature Media CEO and group editor, Cathy Wagstaff, as the assistant editor on the quarterly Signature Luxury Travel & Style magazine.

Bedford is based in Melbourne and is the first remote editor employed by Signature Media, a silver lining to the COVID-19 pandemic, which helped the team realise they can work remotely and now recruit from a larger talent pool.

She said of her appointment: “I have long admired the quality publications Signature Media produces.

“I could not be more excited to help produce the longest-running and most respected luxury travel magazine in Australia alongside industry stalwart and entrepreneur Cathy Wagstaff, and also write across Signature’s suite of exceptional publications,” she added.
