This Time Next Year is a primetime studio entertainment series showcasing real-life transformations. The show will feature ordinary people on a mission to transform their lives in extraordinary ways over the course of 12 months and pledge to viewers what they plan to change by "this time next year". This could be anything from losing half their body weight, to finding the love of their life or even becoming a parent.

This Time Next Year will deliver these transformations in an instantaneous time travel style format. Once each pledge is made, the contributor will leave the studio ready to begin their challenge, but just moments later will reappear completely transformed one year later, revealing a brand new them. The presenter will then reveal the journey.

The UK version, set to air on ITV, will be presented by Davina McCall.

Nine Network director of television Michael Healy said: “At MIPCOM we have seen a wide range of programming ideas but without a doubt This Time Next Year stands out as something we believe will resonate with Australian audiences. We look forward to collaborating with Twofour Group on this great project.”
