Nine Entertainment Co, owner of Channel Nine Perth, has announced that the station will relocate from Dianella to Perth’s CBD in 2016.

Construction will commence over the coming months on a state-of-the-art, fully digitised studio at 253 St George’s Terrace, which will include a unique outdoor activation area, Nine Plaza, complete with an outdoor video wall, to be located on an adjacent Primewest site.

David Mott, managing director of Nine Perth, said: “Since the change of ownership, Nine Perth has achieved growth in ratings and revenue and developed a solid community engagement.

“The new location for Nine Perth is ideally positioned within close proximity to advertising agencies and key media buyers. All going to plan, we will be fully operational in St George’s Terrace in the third quarter of 2016. These are indeed exciting times for Nine Perth.”

Nine Perth will occupy approximately 2,500 sqm across three buildings, including 255 St Georges Terrace, two levels in 267 St Georges Terrace, and the new state of the art studio that will become the focal point in its unique parkland setting. The existing properties will be extensively refurbished in keeping with a new media presence and interconnected in a campus style layout.
