Ben and Liam wedding

Ben Harvey from the Ben & Liam Nova Adelaide breakfast show is now a married man, saying “I do” to long term partner Samantha Wallace on Saturday 30 April.

The couple tied the knot over the weekend in front of family and friends at Woodburn Homestead in Strathalbyn SA. The intimate ceremony featured Ben’s brother James as Best Man and Sam’s sister Catherine as Maid of Honour with the couple’s dog Finley even making an appearance as ring bearer.

With the position of best man already taken, Harvey’s Nova 919 breakfast co-host Liam Stapleton played the role of “Better Man”, a role that did not allow him to make a speech or take on any important responsibilities aside from being “Bus Monitor” to ensure everyone was on the bus before it left.

Ben and Sam have been together for over seven years, meeting at “Viva” Nightclub in Adelaide while Ben was doing some MC work. Ben popped the question at the start of 2021 on a family holiday in Port Douglas, dropping to a knee after a spot of snorkelling on the Great Barrier reef and a private dinner.

Harvey was back on air on Nova 919’s Ben & Liam breakfast show this morning as the newlyweds plan a European honeymoon at the end of the year.

The most recent radio rating survey proved that radio ratings fortunes can turn on a dime, and survey two saw Nova jump from Adelaide’s fourth commercial station to equal first overall.

In breakfast, Ben & Liam were up a huge 3.5 points to 12.3% making them the #1 commercial breakfast show in the market. In drive,  Kate, Tim and Joel took the top spot again with a share of 14.2%, up 1.4 points.

Nova saw most of its gains in the 10-17 demographic, where it rose a massive 10.5% (for a total of 32.1%). Following closely behind was the 18-24 demographic with a 6.2% rise.
