Ogilvy Health ANZ has announced the promotion of David Bailey to managing partner.

Bailey has spent the last ten years at Ogilvy Health as planning director and director of brand communications.

The newly appointed managing director has played an integral role in leading long-term strategic partnerships and has created real impact in healthcare professional and consumer communication.

The appointment follows the bolstering of Ogilvy Health’s medical communication and education capabilities. With the business offering unparalleled scientific expertise in the market, it is driving forward innovative new campaigns both locally and globally.

Bailey's new role will see him take on the day-to-day operational responsibilities of the agency from Kristina Luburic, managing director, Ogilvy Health. He will continue to partner with Luburic whose focus will be on driving and growing a formidable communications team across ANZ, centred on health strategy, borderless creativity, science and experience.

Luburic said of Bailey's appointment: “I’m thrilled and full of pride to announce David’s promotion to Managing Partner. This promotion is recognition of David’s tremendous achievements and contribution to our incredible team, our client partners and the amazing work that is creating such an impact on so many lives.

"At a time where health and the communications industry is being reimagined, I’m excited to continue working alongside this absolute legend to propel our business even further," she added.

Bailey said of the new role: “I have been so privileged to work with so many amazing people and brands over the last 10 years at Ogilvy Health. I’m incredibly thankful and looking forward to this next stage."

Bailey's promotion comes after appointment of Liana Rossi as head of culture and influence of Ogilvy ANZ.

Rossi joined the company after five years with Tasmania’s Museum of Old and New Art (MONA), which is Australia’s largest privately-owned museum.

Rossi brings to the new role her cultural insight and creative counsel to Ogilvy Network’s clients, as well as a deep knowledge and understanding of gaps and opportunities in emerging culture.
