TV Guide: Open Homes Australia returns for the 5th season

Open Homes Australia is returning for the 5th season, taking viewers right across Australia with two brand new hosts. 

The first episode will air on 9LIFE this Saturday afternoon, March 12.

The new hosts, Bec Douros and Jimmy Wilkins will join Michael and Carlene Duffy, Stars of the Melbourne series of The Block Glasshouse in 2014, the season in which they only took home $10,000 profit, behind their competitors who made $435,000.

This season will contain something for all tastes, from new-age designs to old-world renovations. 

Kicking the season off is James Treble with a coastal marvel in Sydney’s Seaforth. Then, Bec Douros and Jesse Raeburn take us to Melbourne to have a look at Ronnie and Georgia’s latest home from the 2021 season of the block.

Jimmy Wilkins then visits one of the most modern homes he’s ever seen in the bayside suburb of Cleveland. Michael Duffy caps it off with an architectural beach house on Stradbroke Island. 

Bec Douros, who is new to Open Homes Australia, said “It was amazing to join the Open Homes Australia team as a host for season 5.” she said she had not returned to a ‘Block’ house since 2013, saying “It evoked a lot of emotions for me but was a really enjoyable experience. I look forward to you hearing our thoughts on Ronnie and Georgia’s home. 

Michael and Carlene Duffy, who are returning for another season, said “We had such a fantastic time hosting Season 4 of Open Homes Australia and we’re excited for you to see what we’ve got in store for you in Season 5.” They said this season showcases amazing homes with inspiring designs.
