Orange Line names David Castle head of organic expands organic and paid teams

Orange Line has appointed David Castle as head of organic, leading the agency’s SEO, communications and outreach functions.

Castle has more than 10 years of experience in SEO strategy, product innovation and AI-led search, and will oversee the independent digital marketing agency’s approach to evolving search trends driven by automation and generative AI.

"David’s appointment reflects our investment in deep expertise and cross-functional collaboration," said David Klein, Co-Founder at Orange Line.

"As the digital landscape continues to shift, we’re focused on building the kind of team that can help clients adapt fast, drive efficiencies with AI and grow faster."

Castle said of his appointment: "There’s a huge opportunity to push the boundaries of what organic can deliver in a rapidly changing environment, and I’m excited to help our clients lead that shift."

The agency has also added Jack Reid as SEO director, Sofia Ignatio as outreach coordinator, and Luka Russell as junior content writer to the organic team.

In paid media, Federico Taboadela joins as paid media director and Maja Drottman as paid media executive, as Orange Line expands its performance marketing capabilities in Australia and the US.

Klein said: “We’re building a team that brings both specialist depth and a shared mindset around innovation and performance. These hires support our ambition to lead the market in how organic and paid work together – not in silos – to create smarter, faster paths to growth for our clients.”

The appointments come after Orange Line partnered with US-based health and wellness company Sports Research to lead a full-funnel digital strategy focused on e-commerce performance.

The agency will oversee Sports Research’s digital strategy covering search engine optimisation (SEO), conversion rate optimisation (CRO), email and SMS marketing, paid media, website development, and data and analytics.
