Pandora partners with Woolworths to launch Woolworths Radio

The music on Woolworths Radio will be frequently varied to reflect different shopping times, locations and experiences of the consumer.

• Woolworths Radio – Powered by Pandora to reach 17 million customers every week

Pandora has launched a partnership with Woolworths to stream curated, exclusive Pandora stations in more than 970 supermarkets.

Woolworths PandoraThe custom curated music stations known as Woolworths Radio – Powered by Pandora, have been curated specifically for Woolworths. The music will be refreshed and updated on a regular basis so shoppers will have an updated listening experience each time they visit their store.

Pandora will be mentioned during the audio and in point-of-sale displays which will encourage customers to download the app. Mood Media, Pandora’s business partner, installed the software and media players across the Woolworths supermarkets.

n addition to the in-store music, customers will be able to download the Pandora app to access the dedicated Woolworths Radio station 24/7. The station features Australian artists such as The Reubens, Keith Urban, Kylie Minogue and Vance Joy, as well as international artists.

“Woolworths is very focused on delivering a great in-store experience for our customers, and we are delighted to have partnered with Pandora and Mood Media to provide our customers with songs and music they enjoy and can relate to,” said Woolworths general manager for marketing operations Rod Evenden. “Music plays an important role in setting our mood, whether it’s in a Woolies store, travelling in the car, or cooking dinner at home. Now customers can tune into great music via Woolworths Radio on the free Pandora app.”
