Pedestrian Group welcomes Frank Masterson as head of partnerships, direct and independent agencies NSW

Pedestrian Group has welcomed the appointment of Frank Masterson to lead the company's direct and independent sales team in Sydney.

In the role, he will be tasked with further driving revenue via client partnerships in Sydney for the youth-focused publishing group, as well as driving direct new business relationships nationally.

Masterson is a well-respected operator in the industry - having held senior positions locally in tech and publishing at Pinterest, Buzzfeed and B&T.

Rachel Tikey, Pedestrian Group's chief commercial officer, said: "If you’ve met Frank, you know he radiates kindness, intellect and energises those around him. He is a strategic leader who is loved by his peers and clients - we know Frank is going to achieve great things as a leader at Pedestrian Group."

Masterson also shared that he was looking forward to joining the publisher and stepping into the role. He said: “Seeing an Australian company like Pedestrian Group expand its offering and titles over the years has been amazing to watch.

"I’m so excited to join the business, to lead such a brilliant team and expand on the incredible work they’ve been doing in NSW," he added.

Masterson's appointment comes as Pedestrian Group sees MOM audience growth via IPSOS. The business also plans to expand its commercial offerings with an exciting first to market announcement in the works with parent company Nine.

Pedestrian Group, owned by Nine, reaches a unique audience of more than 4 million Aussies per month - more than any other youth publisher.

It is home to PEDESTRIAN.TV, The Chainsaw, VICE Australia, Refinery29 Australia, Lifehacker Australia, Gizmodo Australia, Kotaku Australia and Business Insider Australia, as well as the Open Air Cinemas.

In March, Pedestrian Group welcomed Dane Robertson to lead the company’s sales department in Melbourne, further developing agency and client partnerships as well as driving new business relationships in the market.
