Perth

• Musical chairs continue: Nova again #1, breakfast busts above 15%
• Drive: Kate, Tim & Marty hold top spot, Hughesy & Kate improve

Nova 93.7 14.4%

Another huge result in what must be close to the station’s best year. As well as the station leading overall, Nathan, Nat and Shaun remain breakfast champs, extending their lead over Mix to 2.5. The breakfast share of 15.1% is the best ever for Nova and it remains #1 cume, also a record, on 614,800.

Mix 94.5 13.9%

While the station is again in the shadow of Nova, Mix remains #1 morning and afternoon and #1 55+. It doesn’t often (ever?) lose 40-54, but it did this survey to Nova.

Hit 92.9 10.4%

Good growth in drive and evening was undone by losses in breakfast, morning and afternoon. The new breakfast show with Heidi, Xavier & Ryan was down 1.1 to 10.2%.

6PR 7.8%

Breakfast with Basil Zempilas and Steve Mills is now #1 AM after overtaking ABC Perth breakfast. Breakfast share lifted 0.9 to 11.0%. Morning with Gareth Parker took off with share up 1.8 to 8.0%. Evening was no slouch either where Sportsday after 7pm and then four hours of Perth Tonight with Chris Ilsley saw share up 4.2 to 10.2%.

Share lifted a little but the station remains well off the pace with its FM competitors. Afternoon boasts the best numbers – 8.7%.

6iX 5.8%

Good survey result here fuelled largely by breakfast with Tim Gossage up 1.1 to 4.8% and improved daytime shares for morning, afternoon and drive with announcers Mike Parry and then Leo Nelson sharing the workload.
