Two productions backed by the South Australia Film Commission have been scheduled for play on streaming channels in Australia and overseas.

PLONK Season 2 will have its exclusive premiere in June on subscription-based video-on-demand (SVOD) service Stan – a joint venture between Nine Entertainment Co. and Fairfax Media – while SBS International has signed an international licensing deal with Netflix for SBS-commissioned action-comedy program Danger 5 (seasons 1-2). Danger 5 will become available exclusively on the SVOD streaming service in the US, Canada, the UK and Ireland this month.

“This is fantastic news for both productions and represents a great new opportunity for innovative film makers to share their work with the world,” SA Film Corporation CEO Annabelle Sheehan said.
PLONK is a One Stone Pictures production made in association with ITV Studios Australia and supported by Screen Australia, the South Australian Tourism Commission and South Australian Film Corporation.
Danger 5 season 2 is set in the 1980s and will be launched at the MIP TV market in Cannes in April.
Danger 5 was financed with the assistance of Screen Australia, SBS, South Australian Film Corporation and Adelaide Film Festival.
