Podcast Ranker December 2021: New entries from LiSTNR, Podshape & WAN
Wondery’s Harsh Reality: The Story of Miriam Rivera charts
This month the same top three publishers for the Australian Podcast Ranker are ARN/iHeartMedia, LiSTNR (SCA) and Audioboom.
The Top 100 Ranker and Top 100 All-Australian Ranker feature the same top two podcasts – Casefile True Crime (Audioboom) and Hamish & Andy (LiSTNR – SCA). The top three spot was new on both charts, with The Update (Nova Entertainment) moving higher.
Total downloads of all shows by all participating publishers in the month of December is 53.2m, the third-highest ever, but down on the preceding two months.
The highest new entry on the Australian Podcast chart was the Triple M Cricket podcast which debuted at #22 with 94 episodes and 83,000 monthly episodes.
Other Australian debuts this month included Who Killed Bob? from Podshape at #48, and My Name is Cleo from West Australian Newspapers at #57.
The highest international podcast debut on the ranking of all podcasts in Australia was Harsh Reality: The Story of Miriam Rivera. The series is published by Wondery and represented in Australia by Ranieri & Co. The Australian sales rep business The Ranieri & Co was founded by Rob Ranieri and Nick Randall.
