Martin King left with a talent on the right from a story called Cowboy Conman

The long-time reporter on Nine’s A Current Affair, Martin King, joins Mediaweek editor James Manning on this podcast to take a trip down memory lane. King shares reminiscences about the experience of filing his first story for ACA in the 80s (including being watered down by a talent in the story), how the show has become the “voice of the people”, talks about confronting people in stories, addresses misconceptions about ACA sensationalising news and the importance of the brand to the Nine Network.

King marks three decades as a journalist on the A Current Affair this year.
