"I’m looking forward to working with Charlotte to develop new opportunities and expanding our partnerships portfolio."

Byrne said of her new role: "In a time where independent, trusted journalism has never felt more crucial, I am thrilled to be joining the Guardian Australia’s team. I am looking forward to growing and expanding on their incredibly impressive portfolio of clients and opportunities."

The publisher's commercial team will continue to focus on strategic content collaborations with major advertisers, solidifying its position as Australia’s leading purposeful publisher.

Byrne's addition to the Guardian Australia sees her reunite with Rebecca Costello, former CEO of Schwartz Media, who officially joined the publisher as its managing director last month.
