SCA chief content officer Dave Cameron has spoken about the highlights for the brand in light of the release of the fifth radio ratings survey of the year.

In Sydney, 2Day FM dropped 0.4, but its share of 4.3% is still better than any result registered last year. The breakfast shift with Hughesy, Ed and Erin has remained steady at 3.6%.

Triple M Sydney increased its market share by 0.4, breaking back through the 5% threshold for a share of 5.3%.

In Melbourne, The Fox saw a lift of 0.5 points and a 129,000 increase in cume. Fifi, Fev and Nick’s breakfast share was up 1.2 points to 9.5%. The station’s highest daypart was a tie between drive with Carrie and Tommy, and afternoons both sitting at 10.4%.

In Brisbane, a lift of 1.1 points has seen B105 land at 12.2%, coming in at second overall in the Brisbane market.

Speaking about the results, Cameron said that he was proud of the growth SCA stations have recorded.

"SCA’s results nationally across the Hit and Triple M networks continue to show a remarkable audience return to radio, with another record national cume of 5.971 million to our metro stations.

"In particular, The Fox in Melbourne continues to break records as Australia’s most listened to radio station with 1.325 million weekly listeners. This is the highest cume ever in Australian radio history.

"2DayFM’s fifth cume increase in a row reflects its ongoing growth, and the Breakfast show with Hughsey, Ed and Erin has again grown its audience by another 49,000 listeners recording the highest audience growth in Sydney today and a 38% increase this year.

"Triple M Sydney and Melbourne, both with relatively new breakfast shows, continue to perform well in their key target demographics, nearing all time audience cume highs, alongside pleasingly strong results for B105 as Brisbane’s No.2 FM station, and Mix 94.5 as Perth’s No.2 FM station."
