ARN’s 97.3FM today launched Robin, Terry & Bob’s The Band Brisbane Built, a search for Brisbane’s brightest young musical stars.

Brisbane has exported some of the biggest bands to the world including; The Veronicas, Amy Shark, Sheppard, Powderfinger, Savage Garden and Keith Urban to name just a few and now Robin, Terry & Bob are on the lookout for the next big export.

Leaving no tambourine unturned 97.3FM’s Robin, Terry & Bob are casting a wide net to find the coolest, most talented musical youngsters to form The Band Brisbane Built. Anyone 18 and under who lives in Brisbane is eligible.

97.3FM will be enlisting music industry mentors, and some surprise guests, to help build the band and create the sound that they will debut to Brisbane – and the world.

Superstar talent and Brisbane musical alumni including The Veronicas, Amy Shark, Sheppard and Delta Goodrem have showed their support of the search while recently chatting with Robin, Terry & Bob. You can hear audio of those interviews here.

On the launch of the search Robin Bailey said, “I tried everything to keep my boys playing music, especially going into high school, but sadly all three gave up music for soccer. If I can convince one kid to keep with their instrument or singing because they hear our 97.3 band then I have done my job.”

“Radio is a magical place. A portal that connects you with the artists you love singing the songs of your life. I love that we are using radio to give young Brisbane musos an opportunity to step into that world and make musical magic,” said Terry Hansen

“I’m excited to see Brisbane kids sharing their musical talent with 97.3 listeners and eventually the world,” added Bob Gallagher.
