The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick have successfully broken the Guinness World Record for the longest marathon for a radio music show DJ (team).

On Friday, just after 9am an official Guinness World Record adjudicator, who was on site, approved their attempt, and the breakfast hosts Fifi Box, Brendan Fevola and Nick Cody, and their anchor Josiah Shala were officially named the holders of the title and awarded a plaque.

The team was under very strict rules from on-air talking, music, ads and content, but their efforts were rewarded after completing the record just after 9am.

Inside the studio, the breakfast team burst into cheers and high-fives as their colleagues in the control room erupted in applause for their efforts.

Among some of the efforts the Box, Fevola and Cody, and Shala used to stay up included exercise equipment such as a stationary bike, pilates reformer and dance parties during music breaks.
