Melbourne’s 101.9 The Fox breakfast team Fifi, Fev & Nick took their Brekky in the Burbs to Tabcorp Park in Melton on Friday.

The breakfast trio were joined by over 500 listeners who took part in the festivities of what was its biggest Brekky and the Burbs yet.

The broadcast also raised funds for the local school community of Exford Primary School, who were involved in a tragic bus crash last week. Alyssa Micallef, a teacher at Exford Primary School, came down to see Fifi, Fev and Nick.

The trio entertained their audience as they hosted their breakfast show and even enjoyed a dance break to the Nutbush in honour of Tina Turner.

Fifi, Fev & Nick's Brekky in the Burbs has seen the trio travel to Frankston, Hoppers Crossing and the iconic Ramsay Street.

Mediaweek spoke to Fifi Box about the initiative back in 2022, when Brekky in the Burbs was initially expanded out from being a four-show run into a permanent show staple.

"We did North, South, East, and West,” said Box. “It’s interesting because we all come from those areas. I’m an Eastern suburbs girl, I grew up out in Wonga Park, Croydon, and Ringwood. Nick (Cody) is from the West, he grew up in Hoppers Crossing and Werribee. Fev (Brendan Fevola) is from down the south, he grew up in Narre Warren. So that was really us going back to the areas that we know.

“What we didn’t anticipate was everybody wanting us to go to their suburbs. We’re getting requests, we’ve got a long list and I think we’ll probably start taking votes. Where do you want us? Because we’re obviously going to continue this!”

Listen to Fifi, Fev & Nick on Melbourne’s 101.9 The Fox from 6-9am weekdays, also on LiSTNR.
