triple j announces the launch of its brand new station, triple j Hottest

triple j has announced the launch of its brand new station - triple j Hottest.

Starting on Monday, July 17 at 9:30 am AEST, triple j Hottest is the station by the people, for the people. The station only features songs listeners have selected for triple j Hottest 100 countdowns of the past.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the very first annual Hottest 100 countdown, and the new station is a time capsule of all audience's favourite music from the past three decades.

Paying homage to the millions and millions of votes submitted by triple j listeners, all the "shoulda been highers", and the decades of BBQs and parties in Australia and across the globe, the new station will be spinning the tunes that have soundtracked your life, the tracks that remind you of super-sized festival sing-alongs, the songs that got you through breakups, kept you company and had you dancing all night long.

The new station will arrive on the back of the Hottest 100 of Like A Version.

The only way to find out who will make it in for sure is to listen to triple j or Double J this Saturday, July 15, as we count down the Hottest 100 Like A Versions of all time via the radio, stream on the triple j or Double J website, via the triple j app, or via Instagram and TikTok.

Plus, for the first time ever, the entire countdown will be livestreamed via the triple j YouTube for all to watch the BTS antics, interviews and the performances that make the coveted list.

Hottest 100 of Like A Version will go live on triple j and Double J on Saturday, July 15, 12pm AEST.

Meanwhile, the Hottest station will launch on Monday, July 17 at 9:30am AEST.
