The Seven Network has moved in on Warner Bros Studios after Nine pulled away from its output deals. The first fruit of this new partnership sees Seven the new home of the first seven seasons of the global smash hit sitcom The Big Bang Theory. Seven will start screening the first of the 159 episodes on Seven and 7mate from October 2015.

New episodes will continue to be screened on Nine with series nine launching in the US in three weeks.

As part of the deal with Warner Bros, Seven is believed to have a first-look option on all new series and movies plus the ability to select key movie library content too.

Earlier last month SVOD service Stan revealed it had signed a multiyear deal with Warner Bros International Television Distribution for selected TV series and movies.
