Just Watch Me campaign celebrates Fox Sports’ biggest month of women’s sport

Just Watch Me has been launched by Fox Sports Australia, spotlighting the best female sporting talent in Australia.

The fully-stacked month of women’s sports content will see the AFLW, NRLW, Netball Internationals, WBBL, LPGA, select Ladies European Tour events and more take the spotlight on Foxtel and Kayo Sports, reaching Foxtel Group’s 2.5 million sports subscriber base.

Just Watch Me leads up to Fox Sports Women In Sport Awards on October 16, broadcasting live on Foxtel and Kayo Sports. Just Watch Me capitalises on Fox’s on-air talent, ambassador and editorial network to put women’s sports front and centre. The campaign also brings a new content series featuring Sarah Hosking (AFLW), Ruby Schleicher (AFLW), Keira Austin (Netball), Kate Moloney (Netball), Millie Boyle (NRLW), Keeley Davis (NRLW), Stella Campbell (Cricket) and Emma Hughes (Cricket).

The number of women’s sports will also increase across editorial verticals, with first-person athlete columns, Q&A sessions and match reports on foxsports.com.au.

Fox Sports Australia commissioned research on the viewership of women’s sports, with the report finding three-quarters of Australians “value hearing from female sports commentators”. One in two people surveyed for the report were said to believe there has been a noticeable increase in the number of female commentators on screen.

Fox Sports, available on Foxtel and Kayo, will be the live and exclusive broadcaster of the Women’s Health Women in Sport Awards on October 16. With a total of 10 awards up for grabs on the night, the inalists for the awards include global stars of their sport, including Ash Barty (Tennis), Sam Kerr (Football), Ariarne Titmus (Swimming) and Madison de Rozario (Para Athletics).

The prestigious awards ceremony – now in its tenth year – recognises women who have made an exceptional impact on their sporting code and inspire the next generation of athletes.
