Sportsbet odds reveal top picks for 2022 Logies

The Logies are returning to Channel Nine and 9Now and Hamish Blake is currently leading the odds on Sportsbet.

According to news.com.au, Blake, who hosts Lego Masters on Channel 9, is still the top pick to take home the Gold Logie at $1.80. However, his odds have dropped over the weeks from $1.40, while Channel 7’s Sonia Kruger has moved from $6 to $4 and is now the outright second favourite.

MasterChef’s Melissa Leong is the third pick at $5.50, with Home And Away actor Ray Meagher on $10 and I’m A Celeb’s Julia Morris on $11.

Earlier this week, Blake told TV Tonight it feels surreal to be nominated for a Gold Logie in 2022.

"It feels surreal, I mean, it was ten years ago I won Gold so for anyone in TV, to still be working ten years later is a surprise unto itself," he said.

Kruger, who has consistently been climbing the betting odds over the past few weeks, told TV Tonight, that it's been a while coming.

"It’s very exciting. It’s been a while coming though… I mean, I just turned 40 for crying out loud. But seriously, ANY excuse to go to the Gold Coast, I’m there," she said.

After a two-year hiatus, The Logies will return on Sunday, June 19.  Broadcast live from 7.00pm on Queensland’s Gold Coast, the 62nd TV Week Logie Awards will once again bring Australia’s biggest TV stars together for a night of celebration, glitz, and glamour.

Leila McKinnon, David Campbell, and Renee Bargh will get things started on the red carpet, giving viewers front-row access as the stars arrive at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre within The Star Gold Coast Entertainment Precinct – a brand new location.

From 7.30pm, the official TV Week Logie Awards begin, with 25 Logies to be awarded, including the new Silver Logie for Most Popular Australian Actor or Actress in an International Program. From this year, the Most Popular Presenter Logie will be known as the Bert Newton Award for Most Popular Presenter, recognising the late Bert Newton.
