Starcom Sydney today announced the promotion of Rebecca Ho to the new role of head of investment, effective immediately.

Moving from her current position as group investment director, Ho will lead the agency’s investment product, working closely with media partners to drive maximum value for clients. Ho will report into national head of HX Partnerships, Mark Duffy, and support Sydney MD, Nancy Lan.

Lan said: “As a business powered by our people, Rebecca is an exceptional talent who is passionate about delivering investment-driven solutions for our clients. She exemplifies our culture of ‘Never Standing Still’ in everything she does, and we are thrilled to recognise her achievements.”

On her appointment, Ho said: “I am honoured to take on this new role and lead the investment product and team in Sydney. I am excited about where Starcom is heading and the momentum we are building through our people powered growth framework.”

Starcom Australia announced its new ‘People Powered Growth’ positioning in November last year. The developments include two key hires and the promotion of Mark Duffy.

Starcom Australia CEO, Nick Keenan, explained: “To further enhance our positioning and point of differentiation in the market, we’ve combined people powered growth with the best of our existing strategic framework. Globally, Starcom is known as the Human Experience Company. This is who we are, and People Powered Growth is what we deliver. We believe the growth opportunity lies in people – understanding and anticipating human desires to create experiences of value.”

Meanwhile, Martin Newman has been appointed chief client officer as a maternity cover for Louise Romeo. He joins from WPP where he was most recently the client lead for Vodafone. Newman previously worked at Starcom for more than six years.
