MTV has announced Billboard chart-topping, Grammy-nominated, world-renowned EDM superstar Steve Aoki to headline MTV Beats & Eats on 26 November in Wollongong. Tickets to the music festival are available for just $30 at mtv.com.au/beatsandeats. The first release tickets have sold out.

Fresh off the back of a sellout US tour and the European summer festival season, where he played sets at Tomorrowland and Ultra Music Festival, Aoki will be venturing down under this November.

He’s the man behind Dim Mak Records, responsible for launching the careers of some of the most influential acts of the past decade including: Bloc Party, Bloody Beetroots, Klaxons and Mstrkrft, to name a few. Since founding his label he’s stepped into the limelight himself as a DJ, artist and producer remixing the likes of Michael Jackson, The Killers, Robin Thicke, Lenny Kravitz, Drake and more.

Joining Aoki on the MTV Beats & Eats stage will be platinum-selling, EMA award-winner Savage, Gold Coast producer Paces and Kiwi sensation Maala with more international and local acts to be announced soon.

In addition to the main stage performances, DJ and chef DJ Cutloose will be simultaneously dishing up killer beats and mouthwatering eats in the Smith’s Chips Summer BBQ area throughout the day. MTV Beats & Eats, proudly presented by Smith’s Chips, will host main-stage performances, delicious food stalls and bars.

Proudly supported by Destination NSW, the 2016 MTV Beats & Eats festival is located in Stuart Park, which is just metres from North Wollongong Beach.
