ABC’s Vera topped entertainment on Total TV with 778,000 growing by 21%.

ABC’s Annika saw a growth of 61% for a total audience of 316,000.

Overnight TV Ratings, December 16

Seven enjoyed a Saturday night win in the network and primary shares with 22.2% and 32.8%, respectively. GEM won the multichannels with 4.3%.

Seven’s Saturday was dedicated to day three of the Australia v Pakistan test match as 506,000 tuned in to see the day end with Australia leading by 300 runs. All eyes will be on Nathan Lyon in the remaining days of the Test as he inches closer to his 500th wicket milestone.

Nine’s airing of A Current Affair saw 398,000 as the program met a Queensland family forced to live in a tent after a sudden eviction as the rental crisis worsens. Nine also aired The Garden Hustle to 165,000 as a sister duo worked to bring their unique front yard design to fruition while a garden underwent a stunning transformation into a tropical retreat with a mermaid shower. Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory saw 167,000 tune in.

On the ABC, Vera saw 369,000 viewers as Vera was drawn into a mystery that brought her closer to her estranged family than she would have liked. All Creatures Great and Small saw 351,000 tune in James was given a last chance by the Ministry of Agriculture. 

10 aired The Dog House to 139,000 as Rosie the lively Jack Russell chased after 10-year-old Mitchell and a storm brewed when Hurricane the husky met excitable lurcher puppy Peaches.

SBS aired Secrets of Britain's Historic Houses & Gardens to 78,000 as a painting's hidden story was revealed, a Chinese bridge was painstakingly rebuilt and a 450-year-old table was saved from collapse.

Day 3 of the Australia v Pakistan Test saw 187,000 tune in on Fox Cricket as Australia now leads by 300 runs. The Big Break also saw 129,000 tune in.
