Total TV Ratings, January 5
Day two of Australia’s third test against South Africa brought in a total audience of 747,000 for the third session – the highest rating session of the day.
On Nine, Great Getaways lifted 5% for a total audience of 508,000.
ABC’s repeat of Julia Zemiro’s Home Delivery rose 5%, bringing in 412,000 viewers.

Seven’s main channel has topped the night with a primary share of 18.8%, however Nine has won networks with a 29.7% share. Multichannels was won by 9Gem thanks to the second tournament of the Adelaide International, with a 5.0% share.
Home and Away brought 423,000 to the sunshine of Summer Bay, kicking off primetime for Seven. Melbourne Stars took on Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash, drawing a crowd of 276,000 as the match ended with the Stars winning by nine wickets. Earlier in the day, The Chase topped non-news for the day with 440,000.
Nine’s A Current Affair spoke to a Wheelchair Rugby League father-son duo and gave 518,000 viewers an update on the court case of the white supremacist that punched a Channel Nine security guard. Great Getaways then brought in 313,000, before a repeat of Paramedics got 259,000 hearts racing.
7.30 brought 393,000 to the ABC as the show covered a recent spate of drownings, and spoke to the oncologist who says he will refuse all medical treatment after he turns 75. A repeat of You Can’t Ask That spoke to Chinese Australians for 205,000, before a repeat of Grand Designs took 211,000 on a trip to find the House of the Year.
On 10, The Project (175,000 6:30pm / 236,000 7pm) looked into the sovereign citizen movement and interviewed former Miss Universe Australia, Maria Thattil. 207,000 then tuned in for a repeat of Ambulance Australia.
The highest rating non-news show on SBS was a repeat of World’s Most Scenic Railway Journeys with 112,000 tuning in.
