Sydney Radio Ratings Survey 2, 2026. [click to expand.] Sydney Radio Ratings Survey 2, 2026. [click to expand.]KIIS FM’s breakfast share eased to 11.7, down from 12.7 in the previous survey, in what marks the first ratings read since Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O Henderson’s exit - but the drop is far from dramatic.

With only four weeks captured in the survey, and the pair still on air for roughly 60% of that period, the result sits firmly in transition territory.

What’s more telling is what didn’t happen: listeners didn’t scatter en masse. The relatively modest dip suggests many have stayed put at 106.5, perhaps waiting until something better to come along.

Triple M and Gold have drawn level at 5.5% in breakfast, but they’ve arrived there via very different trajectories - Triple M edging up 0.5 points, while Gold slipped 0.6.

It’s a neat little convergence that says more about the broader market than either station in isolation.

For Gold, it comes as Christian O’Connell continues to bed into Sydney, with his show still networked out of Melbourne. Let’s just hope this networking exercise turns out better than the last.

Gold 101.7’s breakfast transition is yet to pay off in Sydney, with Christian O’Connell now tied with Triple M’s Beau, Cat & Woodsy on 5.5%. That is a far cry from the days when Jonesy & Amanda regularly had Gold contending near the top of FM breakfast.

After brushing off last survey’s result as a “strong start” and joking that the team would earn a meat tray if they reached third, O’Connell may again be forced to find the positives in a show still struggling to fire in this market.
