TEG (formerly Nine Live) – one of the region’s leading ticketing, live content and touring companies – has announced the acquisition of branded family entertainment group, Life Like Touring Pty Ltd and The Entertainment Store. The acquisition is the first a several planned acquisitions that will see TEG Live expand the type of live content experiences provided across a range of new audiences.

Geoff Jones, chief executive officer of TEG, said “We are very pleased to have Life Like Touring and The Entertainment Store join the TEG family. Both companies are leaders in branded family entertainment and show a deep understanding of children and how important immersive entertainment events are for them and their families.

“When you look at the outstanding work they have done with iconic brands including Disney, Nickelodeon, Warner Brothers, Sesame Workshop and Entertainment One, it is clear that these major companies trust the team to deliver creative and exciting events and entertainment that have broad appeal. This fits perfectly in our TEG content strategy and complements the work we are already doing to deliver great concerts, international sporting events and exhibitions across the Asia Pacific region.”

Anton Berezin, managing director of Life Like Touring and The Entertainment Store, said of the acquisition: “Our whole team is extremely excited to join the TEG group. The strength of the relationships they have in the industry, matched with their mix of integrated business and vision, was very appealing to our ownership group. After meeting with the TEG team, we knew that we would be joining a growing and entrepreneurial business that could help us take our storytelling and customers’ brands to more families across the region.”

The acquisition of Life Like Touring and The Entertainment Store is the first in a series of strategic transactions that will be announced by TEG in the coming months. This growth follows the purchase of TEG, formerly Nine Live, by private equity group Affinity Equity Partners in August 2015.
