I'm a Celebrity

Dylan Lewis has been crowned king of the Aussie jungle in the grand finale of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, winning $100,000 for his chosen charity, Lifeline.

The six finalists were - Brooke McClymont, Joey Essex, Dylan Lewis, Nathan Buckley, Emily Seebohm and David Subritzky - with Australia choosing Lewis to wear the crown.

Lewis was the co-host of Highlights, Happiness and Ham, and was known for teasing the jungle's hidden cameras by playing peekaboo with them and turned his full-body mosquito negligee into the jungle's most wanted fashion accessory, but he also won voters over with his compassion and vulnerability.

Buried and surrounded by more than 50 snakes in a coffin-like enclosure, Lewis conquered The Viper Room, confronting his extreme fear of snakes. In camp, an emotional Lewis told his campmates his chosen charity was Lifeline, in honour of his late brother.

On winning $100,000 for Lifeline, Lewis said: “I am surprised and I am elated. Everyone deserved to win but I'm just really happy I got to bring this one home for Lifeline. Thank you to everyone who voted and I love you."

In second place was country singer Brooke McClymont and in third place was Nathan Buckley.

Speaking to Mediaweek when the season launched, 10 ViacomCBS’s head of entertainment Stephen Tate said that border closures had had a major impact on production.

“There were people that were available that wouldn’t normally be available”, Tate said. “The current circumstances that the whole world finds itself in has changed the mindset of people going in there. They’re genuinely appreciative of the experience. And there is a kind of a change in the way they’ve interacted with each other. People in general, are much kinder, and more interested in each other.”
