Ten has revealed two promos for the upcoming season of MasterChef Australia. The short-promos, which are less than one-minute-long, introduce the viewers to two contestants who will be contending to win the ninth season of the cooking reality show.

Michelle Lukman, a 19-year-old student, wows the returning judges Matt Preston, Gary Mehigan and George Calombaris with a golden ball.

Meanwhile, Callan Smith, an 18-year-old student from Sydney, is shown to leave the judges speechless (literally) with his audition dish.

The filming for the new season of Ten's long-running show is currently underway. The contestants and the judges were in Japan earlier this month to film a special week for the show. Speaking to News Corp recently, Calombaris said: “They have really surprised us. Every contestant is serious about their cooking. There is no mucking around.”

The exact premiere date for the show produced by Endemol Shine Australia is yet to be announced. It will air on the network's primary channel in cap cities around Australia, and will be taken to regional viewers by WIN Television later in 2017.
