Streaming service hayu, dubbed 'Netflix for reality television', will now be available to Foxtel’s Entertainment Plus subscribers at no extra cost. Foxtel, which also broadcasts the E! channel, which carries a lot of the same reality content as found on hayu, will give access to hayu as part of a Foxtel subscription.

hayu, which launched in Australia in March, offers same day screenings of most of its reality show lineup, with shows available to stream on the platform as soon as it has aired in the US. Shows available on the service include Keeping Up with the Kardashians, The Real Housewives (US versions), Million Dollar Listing and Top Chef franchises, along with series such as I Am Cait, The Millionaire Matchmaker, Made In Chelsea, and Shahs of Sunset.

Hendrik McDermott, SVP, branded on-demand, NBCUniversal International said: “Having only just launched in Australia in March, we are delighted to now make hayu directly available to Foxtel subscribers. Through this collaboration with our long-term platform partner in this market, we are one step closer to our goal of enabling the widest possible audience of reality fans to access this immersive SVOD service on the broad range of devices they use daily.”

Brian Walsh, executive director of television, Foxtel said: “Foxtel has an incredible collection of hit reality shows across our channels Arena, E!, Style and Lifestyle YOU. Foxtel and NBCUniversal have a longstanding relationship that has enjoyed incredible success in bringing high-quality, unscripted programming to subscribers hungry for entertainment and the availability of hayu to our subscribers* at no extra cost is another great value-add to a Foxtel subscription.”

The hayu library boasts over 3,000 episodes of some of the worlds most popular reality franchises.

Customers can activate their access to hayu at: hayu.com/foxtel.
