Homeland is one of the US series being fast-tracked to Australia in the next few weeks and it returns to TEN for its fifth season on Monday, October 5, at 9.30pm.

Screened just hours after its US premiere, Homeland season five will pick up two years after Carrie Mathison’s (Claire Danes) ill-fated tenure as Islamabad station chief.

Starring Claire Danes, Mandy Patinkin and Rupert Friend, this season will see new cast including Australian actress Miranda Otto in the role of Allison Carr, the CIA’s current Berlin station chief, and Alexander Fehling who plays Jonas.

Filmed in Berlin, Homeland is the first American television series to be shot entirely in Germany.
