The Seven Network’s Farmer Wants A Wife concluded its 2023 season on Monday night, reaching over 8.5 million viewers across its run.

Newly released VOZ data reveals the show attracted its biggest ever audience on 7plus and the series averaged 1.17 million total viewers in 2023, with the overnight total audience up 16% on 2022.

On 7plus, Farmer Wants A Wife boosted its BVOD reach 45% year-on-year, to attract 1.47 million unique viewers on the streaming service to date, and averaging 188,000 viewers per episode, with live streaming up 27% year-on-year.

The show, which sees host Samantha Armytage and co-host Natalie Gruzlewski playing cupid, produced its biggest timeslot commercial audience share since 2020 – and for the first time, every farmer who followed their heart on the show found real love.

Seven’s chief content officer, entertainment programming, Angus Ross, said: “Farmer Wants A Wife has attracted record audiences this year, with over 8.5million Australians watching the fairy tale.

“Drawing strong audiences across all screens since its launch, the show soared with its biggest ever audience on 7plus to become Seven’s #1 entertainment show so far in 2023 and Australia’s #1 entertainment series since Easter.

“The show’s massive audience across Seven and 7plus highlights why VOZ total audience is the best and most relevant measure of how our content attracts and engages viewers,” he said.

Farmer Wants A Wife will return in 2024 and is a Fremantle Australia and Eureka Productions co-production for the Seven Network.
