The importance of a successful big franchise is crucial to attract viewers and sponsorship. The top 20 this week was dominated by Nine's The Voice and TEN's MasterChef Australia.

There was a very rare multichannel entry into the top 30 this week with the Lords test cricket attracting an audience of 782,000 on GEM. Ashes cricket on GEM is now the most-watched multichannel programming ever.

Meanwhile Seven's late night coverage of the Wimbledon men's final made the top half of the OzTAM 100 for the channel.
