I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! was the top non-news program in the total TV ratings with 946,000, an increase of 20% on its overnight ratings.

The entertainment franchise narrowly outdid the first night of the Australian Open which had 926,000 for its night session which featured Ash Barty making short work of Lesia Tsurenk.

Overnight TV Ratings January 24

The Australian Open continues to produce results for Nine as the annual tennis tournament has pushed the broadcaster to its seventh win in a row as it was the #1 primary channel (26.5%) and network (34.9%). 

The local attraction yesterday was Alex De Minaur who went down in straight sets in the afternoon. Prime time saw Stefanos Tsitsipas win a close contest over Taylor Fritz.

Australian Open TV Ratings Day 7:
Day Session: 483,000 (345,000 metro & 138,000 regional)
Night Session: 913,000 (656,000 & 257,000 regional)
Night Session 2: 756,000 (583,000 metro & 173,000 regional)

There was no Big Bash League on Seven last night, so the free-to-air network aired a combination of factual reality programs in Border Security: Australia's Front Line (515,000), Motorway Patrol (355,000), and Highway Cops (307,000).

I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! is heating up in the back end of its run as the eliminations come hot and heavy. The program was the top entertainment program last night with 625,000 viewers and had 570,000 viewers for its elimination of Derek Kickett.

On the ABC, Back Roads had 395,000 viewers as Heather Ewart took the program to Boulia in Queensland.

The top program on SBS was Secret Scotland with 159,000 viewers.
