Seven continues to dominate Aussie TV with its Olympics coverage. The broadcaster has had comfortable wins in both primary (31.4%) and network (46.3%) shares, plus the top multichannel through 7mate (10.5%).

The highlight of the day's coverage came early in the day as Ariarne Titmus defeated US swimming legend Katie Ledecky in the 400m freestyle.
There was also a lot of attention on the boat incident during the men's Triathlon as well as Aussie team events in water polo, softball, rugby sevens, and women's hockey.
Primetime was made up predominantly by the swimming heats.

There was a small break in Seven's Olympics coverage for Larry Emdur to debut as the new host of The Chase Australia. The episode had 828,000 viewers, this was the top rating episode of 2021.
Nine
A Current Affair was guest-hosted by Nine and 2GB presenter Deborah Knight on Monday. Her first guest was former Commonwealth Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr Nick Coatsworth who was doing the media rounds yesterday. The episode had 738,000 viewers.
Up next was Beauty and the Geek with 562,000 viewers, which was down on last Monday's 618,000.
In the episode, Eliza and Alexander had a 'Champainting' date, where they painted each other's portraits while having a few glasses of champagne, after they won the gym class challenge.
Sam and Aira were sent home after losing to Mitchell and Ashleigh in a contest where they had to use a catapult to hurl a small bean bag into various nets.

The Project had 313,000 (6:30pm) and 496,000 (7:00pm) as the show covered the effects of an extended lockdown and Ariarne Titmus's thrilling victory.
Australian Survivor had 627,000 viewers which was down on last week's 768,000.
In the episode the Brains tribe was unable to win their first rewards challenge, having to settle once again for rice and lentils. However, it was better news for the Brawn tribe who ended their losing streak in immunity challenges.
With George revealing he had an immunity idol, the rest of the Brains tribe took the opportunity to blindside their resident GP, Mitch, who thought they were still voting for George. George played his immunity idol but only received one vote.
Guest panellists on Have You Been Paying Attention? (577,000) were the co-hosts of the channel's new show The Cheap Seats – Melanie Bracewell and Tim McDonald. Joining them was Celia Pacquola.

Laura Tingle is again guest-hosting 7.30 this week ahead of the return of Leigh Sales in a fortnight. One of her guests was the busy Dr Nick Coatsworth, with 662,000 tuning in.
SBS
The channel devoted the evening to music documentaries. First up was Jimmy Carter: Rock and Roll President (84,000) which detailed how The Allman Brothers and Willie Nelson were just two of the artists who helped elected the new President in the 1970s.
It was followed by I Am Johnny Cash (93,000) which featured the great man and friends and family discussing his life and his musical impact.
