Seven

Seven continues to dominate Aussie TV with its Olympics coverage. The broadcaster has had comfortable wins in both primary (31.4%) and network (46.3%) shares, plus the top multichannel through 7mate (10.5%).

The highlight of the day's coverage came early in the day as Ariarne Titmus defeated US swimming legend Katie Ledecky in the 400m freestyle.

There was also a lot of attention on the boat incident during the men's Triathlon as well as Aussie team events in water polo, softball, rugby sevens, and women's hockey.

Primetime was made up predominantly by the swimming heats.

There was a small break in Seven's Olympics coverage for Larry Emdur to debut as the new host of The Chase Australia. The episode had 828,000 viewers, this was the top rating episode of 2021.
